1 / 2 Kastio and Lazaret mark part of the Petrovac waterfront by the harbour. In the 16th century the Venetians built a fortress with a garrison and storehouses, while the neighbouring Lazaret served for quarantine. The name Kastel Lastva has remained part of the place's story.
Crvena komuna Memorial Hall combines local history with a contemporary cultural programme. The institution includes the Marko Krstov Gregović gallery, a memorial room and a cinema hall, while the open-air amphitheatre is also used for music events. View detailsThe Roman mosaics at Mirišta bear witness to late antique Petrovac. According to the museum institution, a fragment depicting three fish with a shared head, discovered in 1902, has not survived. A larger mosaic discovered in 1941 is divided into twelve panels with geometric and plant motifs; the museum tentatively dates it to the mid-4th century and links it to the beginnings of early Christian art.
