Activities
Nature and birdwatching in Buljarica
How to prepare
Bring binoculars, water and footwear suited to the surface you will be on. Choose a short route you know and stay on accessible public areas. A morning outing may be more pleasant because it is less hot, but it does not guarantee seeing birds.
Responsible observation
No loud playback of bird calls, no feeding and no approaching nests. Adapt your photography to the animals, not the other way round. Scientific research in the field is not confirmation of a publicly available tourist programme.
If you want a guided programme
Before your trip, ask for a confirmed date, guide and meeting point. We do not present a past event or bird ringing as an activity you can join without prior arrangement.

Walk along the Buljarica shore
A walk along the Buljarica shore can be a short outing between swimming and a meal, or a longer look at the bay. Start from an access point you know and choose the length according to the surface, the weather and the way back to your accommodation.
Buljarica wetland
The wetland hinterland of Buljarica is part of the bay's natural identity. The Montenegrin Ecologists Society studies its habitats and their protection, including two species of freshwater turtle in a 2025–2026 project.
