Jaz is a cove west of Budva with two sections of waterfront. The surface combines pebbles on the beach and sand in the water, but the entry to the sea is not the same along the entire coast. Before choosing your spot for the day, look at access, the waves and where you can take a break from the sun.

Choose a stretch of waterfront, rather than just a beach name

Walk to a stretch that suits you before unpacking your things. Check where you enter the water and the spacing between swimming areas and access routes. For children, choose according to the conditions you find and supervision, rather than just a photograph.

Food, equipment and the return journey

Restaurants and bars operate along Jaz Beach. Check sun lounger availability, prices and rules of use with the specific establishment. If you are using transport, arrange your return before going to the beach.

Getting to Jaz and transport to Budva

You can reach Jaz by car, taxi or the bus route listed by the Tourist Organisation on the Budva–Jaz–Trsteno–Ploče line. For a car-free trip, first arrange your return, then plan how long to stay at the beach.

Jaz with children: preparing for a beach day

With children, being able to end an outing easily is more important than visiting as many places as possible. Before booking, check access to the accommodation, and choose your beach spot according to the conditions you find that day.

SUP and kayak tour from Jaz

For more experienced paddlers, Montenegro+ offers a guided tour from Jaz towards Sveti Nikola Island and Budva. The organiser states around 10 km and approximately five hours in total, including around three on the water. This is not independent rental for beginners.

Water bike at Jaz — Aquaride

Aquaride at Gioia Beach offers a ride on a pedal-powered water bike. It is a shorter activity to complement a beach day, with instruction before departure and a life jacket provided by the organiser. The starting point is at Jaz, not Budva Town Harbour.

Camping at Jaz: what to check

The Budva Tourist Organisation lists a campsite behind Jaz Beach. As the current reception contact, season and admission conditions have not been confirmed in the reviewed sources, plan camping only after checking directly on site or with a reliable current operator.
