Travel guide · Montenegro
Bar
Bar connects the town's coastline and Topolica with Stari Bar in the hinterland, its olive groves and cultural heritage. Keep a day by the sea separate from a tour of the historic town and plan transport between the two in advance.
For a town tour, combine a walk along Topolica with the area around King Nikola's Castle. Treat Stari Bar, the aqueduct and the olive tree on Mirovica as separate stops. To visit Kuća maslina or the Stara Čaršija restaurant, check the current programme and arrange your arrival directly.

The stone aqueduct on the northern side of Stari Bar bears witness to the former water supply of the fortified town. View the structure from a safe public viewpoint.
Old olive tree in Mirovica
The old olive tree is one of the recognizable symbols of the Bar region. It is located on Mirovica, separated from the coastal center and the old town ramparts.
King Nikola's Castle in Bar
King Nikola's Castle is located by the sea in Bar, near Topolica, and today houses the Local History Museum. It is a different location from the King Nikola Museum in Cetinje.
